John 3
Jesus schools Nicodemus
Now JC says something here I really like. I don't think I have ever noticed this before. "14Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up." The snake to Moses was a poisonous and dangerous thing. When God commanded him to pick it up, Moses complied out of faith. Now I don't think that JC is saying he is dangerous, but rather that to hold him up is not always easy to do. Especially since we humans cling on to the things of this world. If only we could see past the "real."
John keeps it real (what's up with my titles tonight? Yo!)
I like this part because I know John is telling it from experience and not second hand. John says "35The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands." I like that a lot, since it shows how heavy the burden of Christ's life was even before he began. Wow!
